so I installed the public beta for this game, and now I am wondering if anyone else is interested in it. It looks to be a very interesting concept, with the ability to call in different types of ruses, going from hiding your troops with radio silence to creating a fake army and tricking your opponent. Also, when I played the skirmish mode against a computer, I was amazed at how fast the game scales up the detail when zooming in. anyways, is anyone else participating in the beta and are looking for someone to play against?

Installing now. I saw the trailer and it looked kinda interesting, though I'm not a big strategy games person.

the name sounds to much like r.o.s.e. online and that triggered a nostalgia bomb. who wants to play rose with me?
One fine spring day a disciple looked at some branches blowing in the wind.
He asked his master “master are the branches moving or is it the wind?”
Not even glancing to where the pupil was pointing the master smiled and said “that which moves is neither the branches nor the wind; it’s your heart and mind.”

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I dunno.

I started a game with an AI, built up some stuff for about 10 minutes and...nothing happened. I never got attacked, couldn't find anything on the map with recon stuff, etc. Probably doing something wrong, I dunno.

Very detailed when you zoom in. Maybe if I can go against a couple people it'll give me a better impression.

well, for my first strategy game match ever against another person, I think I did alright. I lasted 15 minutes before I got smashed to bits.

Turns out when I tried it, I just didn't enable the AI.

I got rather bored after about ~10 minutes and just quit. I have no patience for RTS games, so I doubt I'll actually be picking this one up.

I'm pretty sure he means that the in-game link to the player manual is broken, and so is the bug report link.

I like it thus far. I'm not skilled enough to beat a human opponent yet, (or a computer one for that matter. :P)
But I almost beat the computer, and I was just trying to figure out how to play, so I think I did well. Plus, the game is actually fun, and it kept me on edge for the whole match.

I figured out how to place supply depots by accident very early in the match, which was a godsend. XD

Yea, I'm avoiding this one like the plague. One word: DRM. Seriously, Ubisoft couldn't have stuck their foot further up their own ass if they'd been born without bones.

If they are using the drm they used with asscreed 2 then I am also inclined to stay the fuck away from it. That drm makes securom look like a minor inconvenience. I am also not a big fan of rts.
