Oh god, this was such a terrible way to add friends in SC2... Basically, you either had to add them via their e-mail, which would would enable you to see their real name, or you had to have played with them first or some how access their profile, and add them from there. Basically, you either had to play with them, or be in the same league as them, which isn't always the case D:

There's a Broadcast to Real ID thing that sends a message to everyone on your list

Anyone find any standalone client for it? I found some that say they work with battlenet but they're all many years old, so probably don't work.
update: I tried a plugin for Miranda IM client, but it just crashes. I think these are made for the old battle.net, like for Diablo II, it had a space for "chat room" in the interface, so yeah..
Prediction: They will make an IM client, but only usable if you pay an extra fee. Similar to WoW remote.
