Also, all of the 'evidence' that have been posted have been taken out of context. Having been harassed by GG, she was trolling them with comments such as the ones above -- which didn't help her case, yes, but context is important since she was an advocate of stricter laws against child pornography in Japan as well. Anything you or I could say can be easily taken out of context when singled out. I know I've said some dumb shit that people can easily take a screenshot of and use against me as some sort of 'advocate of slavery' or something. Evidence by screenshot doesn't give anyone the whole picture, especially since the lines described aren't given a person's tone but taken as literally as possible.

Look at the dates, the evidence dates back to 2012 and December 2015, well before she was even within the public eye, it can't have been statements meant to troll attention she wasn't getting yet.

Honestly you can look at the reasons for her being fired in three, separate ways.

She could've gotten fired for the child abuse stuff, look, if someone is a pedo and doesn't actually ACT on this impulses I don't really care, it's a mental defect due to an error within the wirings of the brain, it's something alot of them can't actually control. Not acting on them is the important thing. And then if you're crossing the line trying to advocate for the legality of that shit, and then ALSO working at a company that designs products for children? It gets kind of sketchy.

She could've gotten fired for just the general inflammatory nature she was having on twitter. That's a very common thing. It doesn't matter if you put "These opinions do not reflect [parent company]" on your bio, banner, avatar, whatever, because they very much DO. If an artist at Rare Studios(Is it software or studios?) or something started going "I HATE BLACK PEOPLE" or other inflammatory shit on his twitter do you really not think that wouldn't reflect badly on the company?  Whether you like it or not, when you're working for a company, and you have a profile somewhere that is specifically with your name and lists your company name, anything you say or do reflects on that company. It is the internet though, you can easily make a separate profile to do whatever you do. Companies care if Bill from [company] does something bad, companies don't really give a shit if Buttlord59 does anything though.

And finally the reasons we were given by Nintendo, the modelling. Which on the base level sounds innocuous, but you also have to remember Nintendo is a child orientated company, irregardless of what a good amount of their actual audience is, Nintendo's focus is children entertainment. As a result, someone doing the very particular type of modelling she was doing, was bad for their image. Especially when it involves their products or something you probably don't want your child looking at. This isn't the first time that similar firings have happened because these type of things mess with their branding, Disney is actually fairly notorious for this, basically if you worked for Disney and had a public profile, you wouldn't be able to get away with half the shit she did, let alone if you were one of the 'face' actors. It's simply a harsh reality of working for child friendly companies.

Or... she got fired because some people on the Internet said bad things about her. I mean, I guess? If Nintendo was going on that though you'd think Treehouse as a whole would've been shut down.

My mother had a surgery the other day for a cyst that was growing on the side of her face. Thankfully, it wasn't serious, but her operation was at 6 in the morning and with my eye irritation and insomnia in a double package, the only way I could escort her was to not go to sleep that day. Which is fine, she is my mother after all, and college kind of trained me for that sort of thing. Didn't get to sleep after that too, since I needed to pick her back up from the hospital in six hours. When we did eventually got back home in a taxi and after ordering her meds, it was already 6:30 in the afternoon. At that point, I was so hyped on adrenaline I couldn't sleep anymore even if I wanted to.

Last night, there were some complications. First time I've ever used 911 and she had to be brought in again since she was puking nonstop since she got back. We got to the hospital at 2:30AM and, while she was stable after an IV, there were no doctors coming in until after 8:00. She was eventually given the OK again and we got back at noon.

I'm tired, but not in the traditional way, if that makes sense. I was basically awake for three days worrying, and now that I've gone back I feel like vomiting myself. She's fine now, thank God, but I have a feeling tomorrow's another day. And I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, she's my mother for crying out loud, of course I'd do it for her. I'm just kind of expressing my tiredness right now in whatever eloquent way I can do it, if only because I feel we probably need to go back to the hospital tomorrow again.

Welp phone just died.  What is with my family members giving me their old phone only for it to die in 3 weeks or so?  Meanwhile my 2009 Galaxy note is still kicking its juice.

So along with the backbone of support being off for 2 week, the repairs chap is ill today. Plus we have guy coming in for some time for work experience, with no one to really lead him.

Boss being a fucking Control freak, wanting things to be tidy, when they were, and fucknig up everything. Along with moaning about us helping, Well sorry that we didn't do that thing instantly, we were meeting about the fucking situation, seeing as I'm now going to be doing most of this shit.

I now have all this extra work and responsibility (on top of the existing), while my housemate (who also works in support), sits on little to no responsibility and moans about minor things, still get paid more than me.

If it comes end of month and my pay hasn't risen with rise of minimum/living wage, then I'm going to put proper effort into this job finding. Cause fuck it, being stressed eveytime someone goes off is not worth it.

Facepalm time. How do you deal with someone that gets themself in a pissy mood, says 'drop it' over something they brought up and then refuses to drop it?

Trick question. You can't.

All these complaints about the live-action Ghost in the Shell movie has me slapping my forehead harder than usual. If there was ever a series that was easy to adapt into a Hollywood movie, it was either this or Death Note. It's called an 'adaptation' for a reason, of course it won't be 100% to the source material.

Trying to get back into TF2, but most of my free timespace is at night, and I can't tell if its my filter or not a lot of people play after 10pm. And when I DO get into a populated server, it's filled with people who chatspam. Like that guy who keep typing 't i m b s', spaces included, and I have no idea what the fuck he was talking about.

Having this argument with someone in another forum because apparently Superman isn't a hero because he's invulnerable and 'there's no risk'. This has nothing to do with the BvS films, just general Superman stuff.

Aside from the fact that this is completely untrue, they then compared someone who was saving a suicidal person by a random person, as opposed to being saved by someone from a suicide help hotline. Because apparently saving suicidal people by having it be your job makes you not a hero anymore because it's 'just your job'.

...I am tempted to develop abilities to strangle people across the Internet.

Okay despite the fact that I fucking hate it when people use the term 'haters'(IT SOUNDS STUPID AS SHIT), this is usually a good counter. I used to dislike Superman and Captain America and after looking into both I really gained an appreciation for them.

Usually that argument crops up more as why Superman's a boring character in terms of physical prowess (everyone knows he's going to win so there's no dramatic tension at all when he fights). Tbh I'm happier when they take the interesting route and have his psychological problems take the foreground of the story instead. Cloud linked some good shit.

That's a dumb analogy. That's like saying firefighters can't be heroes even if they brave fires to save people. It's their job, but how does that take away from their actions? The argument that Superman can't be a hero because of his sense of duty falls flat. I can almost see where he's going with it- since his life is never on the line, there's no risk to his personal safety and since he's not risking anything to save anyone, he can't be a hero. But that's often not the case anyway- because often the situation requires him to save everyone. Give that kid a swirly and take his lunch money.

Yeah, I wasn't really bothered by this person not liking Superman. Superman might be my personal hero, but okay he's not for everybody. I'm okay with that. That's not a big deal. And to be fair, in the many MANY years Superman existed good stories have been hard to come by in the last decade and requires a bunch of research. He's not consistently written well because he's a hard superhero to write for. Okay, I can accept that, not a problem.

It was that pure awful analogy that really got my shit in a tizzy. As if people who talk people out of suicide aren't heroes, or firefighters or policemen or what have you because 'it's a job'. It was an insult to everyday heroes that deserve much and more and it got me thrice pissed.

Put in all the time and effort to get the new features out as much as possible.

Presentation time.

Client:  "Oh I forgot to tell you that we want our stuff to work on internet explorer 11

"OH GOD NO NO NO NO NO!"

Test it out on Internet Explorer 11, 50% of the features don't even work on it.

*Internal screaming intensifies

I just want to become a hermit for the rest of my life.

Currently dealing with two separate people.  One is a future roommate that is being consistently being a flaker about everything dealing with the apartment for next year.  From my understanding he's currently going through some deep shit, but it's starting to get to the breaking point.

The other is a person who won't stop bugging me to "work" with him, and is constantly calling me and disturbing me.  Today alone he has called me three times, texted me twice, and knocked on my door just to know whether or not something happened in recitation.  I don't want to answer him anymore, but evidently he doesn't read the social clues that I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU.
